El Campanario Golf and Country Clubhouse
Occidental Inmobiliaria is one of the highest-profile developers in Spain. They commissioned us right from the outset of the project to design and build their prestigious El Campanario Golf and Country Clubhouse specifically so we could work in close partnership with their architects to design an oriental-influenced haven of serene tranquillity, which would inspire the Club’s clients not only to relax, but also to make the most of the available sports facilities.
The finished Clubhouse features a restaurant and bar with an outdoor dining and sun terrace, a fully equipped gymnasium, one of the largest heated swimming pools on the Costa del Sol, and tennis and padel courts…plus of course an 18-hole golf course.
Of course, the primary objective when designing the interior of any development show flat is to make the properties on sale as irresistible to potential buyers as possible.
This is even more important on the Costa del Sol, where the competition between developers to sell property is intense.
Designing a show flat is actually quite a tough challenge in terms of interior design.
You not only have to create an ambience that’s highly commercial and will appeal to a broad spectrum of people with different tastes, you also have to clearly establish an individual identity for the development that’s distinct from all the others on the Coast.
We always try to combine unusual materials, colours or styles of furniture to establish an individual personality for a development.
With the Real del Campanario show flat we combined the very latest modernistic touches with elements of old Victoriana – lightweight metal and viscous hybrid window blind fabrics, for example, with vintage furniture and dark, earthy colour tones that resulted a stylish but yet elegant effect.
